A blue, furry, cartoon monster with big eyes, small fangs, and a wide open mouth, peeking from behind a white partition.

About the Book

My Friend BLUE tells the story of a boy named Bobby who has a furry little friend named BLUE.

BLUE is also Bobby’s depression.

While spending a day together, they both must learn to coexist as friends and appreciate the value of managing sad moments together.

“My Friend BLUE” aims to teach children, and the parents who love them, the benefits and the beauty in the practice of self-care.

About the Author

Robert is no stranger to depression; having lived with the “furry little creature” since early childhood.

In 2016, he created a short film named “BLUE” as a way to express his experience. 10 years later, that film has inspired his first book, “My Friend BLUE”.

Robert hopes the book will teach children, and the parents who love them, that it’s okay to feel sad sometimes, and that the story of Bobby and BLUE inspires them to practice self-care.

In addition to “My Friend BLUE”, Robert has produced a variety of projects, including: the online gameshow “Clubhouse Squares!” and the parody short film “Twilight Sucks!”
